The young golfer will have numerous well-known supporters when she makes her LPGA debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to a former US president, was granted a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
The former president, an avid golfer, operates multiple international courses and frequently matches against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she revealed.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, told her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"He essentially suggested to compete and enjoy myself," she continued.
"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, making him quite busy."
Being non-professional, the golfer has played in only three events this year and maintains ranking 461 in AJGA rankings.
However she can receive tips from golf legend, romantically involved with her mother.
"He is the greatest golfer in the world," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's a superior person. He suggested me to compete, have fun, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge some of the biggest names in the sport at the Annika, featuring world number two the champion, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
The LPGA commented that her participation helps introduce the sport to new audiences, specifically reaching youth audiences.
