Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Match at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in domestic competition two and a half years following their departure for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans can be present as per the current authorization. After final construction, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed finished work included an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted an open training session at the Camp Nou in early November. The club said they were hoping for permission by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side next month at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
