Administration Condemns 'Democratic Fabrication' as Additional Jeffrey Epstein Images Disclosed
House Democrats have made public a new tranche of what they labeled "alarming" photographs from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, featuring notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The first release of 19 images—some of which have been seen before—plus another 70 issued later on Friday represent a tiny fraction of the almost 100,000 images released to the House investigative panel, which is examining the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The fallen money manager was a victim of an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being accused of sex-trafficking charges.
Notable Figures in the Images
Included in the prominent personalities seen in the initial batch are public figures featuring film director Woody Allen; Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, creator of the Virgin conglomerate.
Donald Trump is featured in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is seen with six women, whose faces are redacted.
Administration Reaction
The White House responded to the release in a official comment, accusing Democrats of selectively "cherry-picking" the pictures for partisan aims and to "attempt to fabricate a false account."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been consistently disproven," a presidential representative said, maintaining that "the Trump administration has done more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have at any point by consistently demanding transparency, releasing numerous documents of papers, and demanding more inquiries into Epstein's Democrat friends."
Panel Member Remarks
The photographs were published lacking captions, but as stated by a Democratic representative from California and ranking member of the oversight committee, they elicit additional doubts about Epstein's connections to the rich and powerful.
"It is time to end this White House concealment and secure justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he declared in a release.
The disclosure of these images coincides with the House panel pressing on with its investigation into the affair.
